Georgia Tech Glee Club

On Sunday, November 22nd at 4pm the Georgia Tech Glee Club will have its annual fall concert! We hope you can join us for some great music and fun! This year we are adding an element we are very excited about. For the first time the Glee Club will be performing with Andy Offutt Irwin, a professional storyteller, for a musical sensation you won’t want to miss! Additionally, the newly founded Georgia Tech Women’s Chorus will make their debut as well! The concert will be held at the Georgia Tech Academy of Medicine along West Peachtree Street one block north of Tech Square. As always our concerts are absolutely free so please come out and support us. We hope to see a packed house for what is sure to be a fun and memorable evening!

This Saturday the Glee Club has been asked by the Athletic Association to sing the National Anthem for the GT football game versus the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. So please come out to the game as Georgia Tech tries to move one step closer to an ACC Title Game berth and support your Yellow Jackets and your Glee Club!

For this year’s Homecoming Football Game versus the Virginia Tech Hokies, the Glee Club will be performing a GT Medley at halftime. To commemorate this honor, the Glee Club will be creating its first ever Alumni Choir for former Glee Club members to help sing at the game. We're singing LIVE on The Weather Channel! Someone liked the commercial we did for ESPN, and yesterday The Weather Channel asked us to come out early in the morning to sing our way in and out of commercial breaks.

It may be early in the morning, but singing next to the Ramblin' Wreck and working with Adam Burg on location is a blast!

Congratulations on being accepted to Georgia Tech, and good luck in the coming years. If you're interested in joining the Glee Club, all you have to do is show up for rehearsal on Monday nights at 6pm. Rehersal is held in the Navy ROTC building, located on Freshman Hill. That's it. No auditions, no callbacks. Just show up and sing. Our first rehearsal is the first week of classes, August 17. We hope to see lots of new faces and hear lots of new voices.

If you'd like to hear a sample of our music, come to our start-of-year concert, Rock Your Face Off!, at 8pm in DM Smith (at the top of Freshman Hill, across from the library).

The Glee Club will be having their end of semester concert on Monday, April 20th, at the newly-purchased Academy of Medicine at Georgia Tech. The concert is free to the public, and the doors open at 8pm. For all the Georgia Tech students, this is a great way to relax a little during dead week and relieve some of the stress of final exams.

From the North:

The Glee Club will be walking around the Atlanta Airport, especially the terminal where AirTran flies, singing Christmas songs to the holiday travelers to brighten their commutes. Look for us in the next few weeks!

The Georgia Tech Glee Club will perform at the GT Alumni Association's 25th, 40th, and 50th Homecoming Reunions this Friday night, October 24! We are proud to bring our music and the spirit of Georgia Tech to our alumni on this auspicious occasion.

Also, the Glee Club is scheduled to perform this year's Homecoming game National Anthem. The pregame ceremony will include a performance by the Yellow Jacket Marching Band and a C130H flyover performed by the 94th Airlift Wing of Dobbins Air Reserve Base. Kickoff for the game against the University of Virginia is at 3:30p on Saturday, October 25.
